How the devices connect
Every reading follows the same path from the animal or the field to an alert on your screen.
01On the animal
Smart Eartags measure body temperature and count steps. GPS collars add location and anti-theft protection, and select models add temperature, a buzzer and virtual-fence cues.
02On the farm
A Herdwize LoRa gateway covers a 5 km open-field radius for LoRa collars and water and soil sensors, and forwards data over Ethernet. 4G collar models report directly over the cellular network.
03In the platform
Readings land in the Herdwize platform, where they are compared against each animal's baseline and turned into health, heat, location and water alerts.
